Frequently Asked Questions

Fees + Insurance

  • What is your fee?

My fee is $190 for individual + $200 for couples 50-minute sessions. Longer sessions are available upon request if deemed appropriate and subject to a higher, prorated fee. I hold a limited number of social justice, reduced fee spots.

  • Do you take insurance?

I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I provide a receipt of services for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I’m happy to help you navigate that process if we work together.

  • What is your cancelation policy + fee?

Erotic Connections has a 48 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session will be charged the full session fee.

Logistics

  • What if I don't live in Illinois, Missouri, or Colorado?

Federal and state licensing restrictions limit me to providing therapy to folks residing in the states I’m licensed in. I’m in the process of starting a coaching branch of the practice that will allow me to see you regardless of your location. Please reach out if you’re interested in services and I can share where I’m at on that journey.

  • Is telehealth effective?

Absolutely! One of the few positive side effects of COVID-19 is the increase in accessibility of mental health services via telehealth, which has been proven to be as effective as in-person therapy. As an added bonus, you don’t have to navigate a commute to my office and can join a session during downtime in your work schedule.

  • Do I have to be at home for session?

Nope! I request you join from a confidential space, but that can be anywhere in your home, your car, office, or even a study room in the library. Show up the best you can, wherever that is, as long as it is quiet and private.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
